Why is my kitchen sink leaking underneath, and should I call a plumber or try to fix it myself?
A leak under the kitchen sink is one of those problems that can range from a quick DIY fix to something that really needs a professional — it all depends on where the water is coming from. The most common sources are loose or worn-out connections at the supply lines (the hot and cold water lines running to the faucet), a failing seal at the sink drain or strainer basket, leaking P-trap connections (the curved pipe under the sink), or a crack or leak at the garbage disposal.
